Quentin is required to read at least 15 minutes every night for school. Trying to find books that capture and hold his attention is a challenge sometimes. He likes the "Stink" series. Stink is Judy Moody's little brother. He also likes the series written by Henry Winkler. Yes, The Fonz writes children's books. And, yes, they're good.
This past weekend we went and saw the movie The Spiderwick Chronicles. He enjoyed the movie even though it was a little scarier than I expected. Monday, we went to Modesto and of course we HAD to stop at the Barnes and Noble. Quentin immediately spotted the Spiderwick Chronicles books. We looked at all of the different types of books on the series and we decided that we would purchase the first book in the series. It is a hardback chapter book. He is really doing a good job reading it! He's been reading it all week....or has he been sleeping through it all week?
I snapped these pictures of him last night after I went out to see why he wasn't answering me when I told him that his 15 minutes was up. Why wasn't he answering? He was SLEEPING!
By the way, I know he didn't sleep through his whole 15 minutes because 13 minutes into it he asked how much time he had left.
Here's a funny quote from my little man. While watching Survivor tonight he saw that a major storm was about to hit the islands that the Survivors are trying to survive on and he said, "Oh, they better get back to their crib as soon as possible."
